Pink Saturday

I just finished a new painting called "Let them eat cake". It was inspired by Sophia Copella's film of Marie Antoinette. I love that film, it's so visually beautiful! So this is my version of Maire Antoinette.

Make a wish

I just finished another painting...it's called "make a wish". Usually I make a paper doll on water color paper and then collage it onto my painting. This time I painted right on the canvas. I wanted to try and define the faces that I make more, it's not so easy on watercolor paper. Anyway, I had fun. I am trying new things...spreading my wings...just a bit. She's on painted on canvas board the size is 9X12 ready to be framed. Check out my Etsy store.

Hi there, Happy Pink Saturday!

Well it's that time of year again.......... To prune my roses. I live in Southern California and about this time every year I prune my roses. This year I want to plant some old English roses bushes. So I thought I would share some images of some of the roses I would like to plant. I look at these pictures and I can just imagine how wonderful they must smell!

It's been a while since I've done Pink Saturday. I thought I would share some pink bedrooms. I have been in the decorating mood lately. I guess since Christmas is over and all the decorations are put away my house seems so empty. So I have been looking through a lot of decorating magazines, and images on flickr. Feeling Blue?

Hi there,
Since taking my Christmas decorations down my rooms look so plain! I can't stand it! Now all I can think about is adding color and rearranging. The trouble is I like so many different styles,colors,textures......well you get the idea. I thought it would be fun to post some fun decorating pictures that have inspired me. If you can't tell I like the color blue!
