Bright Star

I went to see the movie Bright Star, about poet John Keats. He falls in love with the girl next door Fanny Brawne. The movie was so beautiful! I am a sucker for English movies anyway, but this was not just a beautiful story, it was visually breathtaking!

I was a little disappointed that Abby Cornish was not nominated for an Oscar!

Do yourself a favor, see this movie!

Bright star! would I were steadfast as thou art—
Not in lone splendour hung aloft the night,
And watching, with eternal lids apart,
Like Nature’s patient sleepless Eremite,
The moving waters at their priestlike task
Of pure ablution round earth’s human shores,
Or gazing on the new soft fallen mask
Of snow upon the mountains and the moors—
No—yet still steadfast, still unchangeable,
Pillow’d upon my fair love’s ripening breast,
To feel for ever its soft fall and swell,
Awake for ever in a sweet unrest,
Still, still to hear her tender-taken breath,
And so live ever—or else swoon to death.
John Keats 1819

EEK! I'm such a gush for period drama and films! Can't wait to see it this! Gosh it's been a while since I came by to visit. Was updating my links list and trying to play catchup! Still loving your Art! I must get one of my daughter made for her performance gift. I'll be in touch on that one in June for sure! Have a creative weekend!
